Artemis by Andy Weir

Weir’s second book, after his huge success, The Martian, Artemis takes us on a more mainstream story on the moon … in the future!

We live on the moon in this book. Well not all of us but some. Rich people go there to vacation inside huge bio-domes filled with resort amenities. But someone has to run the place and that means some lower class inhabitants also dwell in these vacation lands. Jasmine Bashara “Jazz” is our main character and works as a courier of sorts bringing the wealthy needs that they probably shouldn’t have in this highly volatile environment.

Anyway, the story is filled with thrills and suspense and you can geek out on technical jargon that Weir has become known for in his sci-fi fictions. This book had some ups and downs for me but all the while I was entertained. I listened to this on audible and the lovely Rosario Dawson read to me in my car. She was cast perfectly to read this book, by the way. Definitely a good read. Very casual even with some heavy periodical table talk through out.

I give it 4 out of 5 beers🍺🍺🍺🍺

Thanks for reading my review and keep on the look out for more of my sloppily written reviews here on Lit Tapes .com (not sure I needed to plug this but fuck it)
